Butler was 4-6 from the field and was a perfect 5-5 from the charity stripe on that afternoon against the Golden Hurricane &#8230; Hauled in a season-high 10 rebounds to go along with 10 points in the American Athletic Conference Tournament final victory over USF on March 6. Her 10 points came on 4-6 shooting and four of her rebounds came on the offensive glass &#8230; Was one-point and one-rebound shy of another double-double in the win over Memphis on February 25 &#8230; Scored 12 points in only 18-minutes of action during the win over East Carolina on January 4. Her 12 points came on 5-6 shooting and went along with six rebounds and a season-high tying three blocked shots.<br \/>\n<strong>2015-16 SEASON<\/strong><br \/>\nSuffered a thumb injury in the preseason and was unable to play until her debut at Cincinnati on December 30 when she scored 11 points on 5-7 shooting and snared eight rebounds in 15-minutes of action. Saw action in 27 games, earning one start and averaging 5.6 points and 4.0 rebounds on 55.9 percent shooting \u2026 Scored a career-high 20 points on 9-11 shooting against UCF on January 20 \u2026 Scored 14 points and posted her first double-double of the season with 10 rebounds against Cincinnati on February 17 \u2026 Saw action on all six of UConn\u2019s NCAA Tournament games, highlighted by a six-point, eight-rebound performance during the regional semifinal win over Mississippi State.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2014-15 SEASON<\/strong><br \/>\nRedshirt season in Storrs following her transfer from Georgetown.<\/p>\n<p><b>2013-14 SEASON<\/b><br \/>\nAs a standout freshman at Georgetown University, Butler immediately stepped into a starting role as a center&#8230; She led the squad in minutes played (1157) as the only Hoya to start all 32 games of the 2013-14 season, scoring double-figures in all but four of those contests&#8230;The 6-foot-5 center finished fifth in the nation in rebounding (13.3 per game) and first among all freshmen in Division I women&#8217;s college basketball&#8230; After averaging 13.9 ppg and 13.4 rpg, Butler earned a trio of postseason accolades from the Big East Conference. The Virginia native received Big East Freshman of the Year, All-Big East Second Team and All-Big East Freshman Team honors&#8230; A record-setting rookie campaign witnessed her set conference standards for freshman rebounding with a total of 425 boards&#8230; On two occasions the freshman pulled down a career-high 20 rebounds in a single game, tying the league rookie record for single-game rebounding&#8230; Her breakout season also established the season record in blocked shots with 59&#8230; Butler also made significant contributions on the offensive side of the ball, notching 24 double-doubles including 15 in conference play&#8230; Her 24 double-doubles tied for ninth-best in the country and first among freshman&#8230; Her 445 points were second on the team&#8230; Set a career-high with 24 points against Creighton Jan. 1&#8230; Set her career marker in offensive rebounds with 11 at Xavier on Jan. 8&#8230; Posted five assists against Butler on Jan. 11.<\/p>\n<p><b>HIGH SCHOOL<\/b><br \/>\nAn All-State player at Lake Braddock High School &#8230; Named the school&#8217;s Sportswoman of the Year as a senior after scoring more than 1,000 career points and holding the record in single-season scoring average, career rebounds and career blocks &#8230; Averaged a triple-double in 2011-12\u00a0with 26.2 ppg, 17.8 rpg and 10.1 bpg &#8230; A two-time Washington Post All-Met honoree including a spot on the first team as a senior &#8230; Recognized as a Virginia All-State All-Star, a McDonald&#8217;s All-American nominee, Fairfax County Sportswoman of the Year, Northern Region Player of the Year and the Patriot District Player of the Year &#8230; Earned spots on the All-Next Sports Phenom Team, the All-SEN Team and the Patriot District All-Tournament Team &#8230; A Northern Region All-Star after leading the region in points, rebounds and blocks &#8230; An All-Star at the Elite Basketball Showcase Classic after leading the tourney in scoring and rebounding as well as a Buffalo Wild Wings and Battle of the Beltways All-Star &#8230; Averaged 18.7 ppg and 18.5 rpg as a junior &#8230; Ranked No. 140 by Blue Star Basketball &#8230; Led her high school in kills and blocks as a team captain for the volleyball team &#8230; Won the squad&#8217;s Bruin Leader Award &#8230; A member of the honor roll and fluent in German &#8230; Played AAU with the Fairfax Stars.<\/p>\n<p><b>PERSONAL<\/b><br \/>\nFather, Vernon Butler, played basketball at Navy and led the team to the NCAA Elite Eight&#8230;.
